Broadstreet's Portfolio

Harrison's Workwear

Harrison's Workwear was established in 1999, first opening in Mauldin, South Carolina. They've now grown from a one brand boot and shoe store into a workwear business that carries all major brands, with 4 store locations.

Harrison's had a website set up, but weren't happy with the progress. After the recommendation of John Tyler of Tyler Brothers, Broadstreet was hired to do the job. The site is built so that Harrison's employees are able to add new products, upload photos, and adjust pricing and inventory as needed.

Muscle & Strength

Broadstreet helped Muscle & Strength convert their proprietary Website to Drupal, the award-winning open source content management system.  The job required a significant data conversion effort and very complex theming.  MuscleAndStrength.com is one of the world's biggest and most popular body building sites, and the home for Natural Bodybuilders.

Thompson Rental Services

Thompson Rental Services came to Broadstreet with a familiar story - some guy started building their website but never finished.  After a while it was hard to get in touch with him.  Broadstreet found that Thompson had a very smart staff with good computer skills.  They wanted to keep costs down, so we built a site and gave them a couple hours training so they could load their own products and build their own pages as needed.  The result is a very attractive site that is drawing quite a bit of traffic due to Thompson's faithful promotion of the site.

BlackjackFrame.com

Nearly twenty years ago, Doug Busbee of Busbee Frame & Body and met Lyn Marbury, the inventor of the BlackJack Frame Rack and the Vector Pulling System.  Doug searched the Internet and found their website was lacking-- it was very disorganized and the most important information was hard to find. He advised Lyn to upgrade his site, and recommended Broadstreet for the job.   We are grateful for our loyal friends and customers!

So we began to build a new site using the Drupal Web content management system and three weeks later www.BlackJackFrame.com was re-born.   The new site is tuned to take advantage of Google's search robots and improve search results for key terms such as frame rack, frame machine, etc.   We also converted Lyn's very educational DVD's to video, posted them on Vimeo, and embedded them on the site.

Pure Alpaca Yarn

Beth, the owner of Meischay Elite, had a website, but it was very difficult to update.  While it presented a nice image for her company, it did not help her sell her products.  Broadstreet built a Drupal-based website and helped Meischay Elite get connected with customers though the development of an Etsy store, blogging, and the user of Twitter.

Trout University

When Steve and Jerry Maslar decided to build a portal dedicated to their passion, trout fishing, they called on Broadstreet Consulting to design and build them a Drupal site that would organize the vast amount of content they would generate. They needed a system that would allow Jerry, a 70-year-old retiree, to update the system as well as reorganize content when needed.

Broadstreet established an extensive site including several blogging portals, classrooms and a store for TroutU.  Broadstreet then designed a logo and banner to unify the site's look and establish an easily identifiable insignia.

You can see their site at www.TroutU.com.

Gamecock.com

The owners of Gamecock.com wanted to take advantage of a very popular and in-demand domain name and develop a site that would draw fans of the South Carolina Gamecocks. The site aggregates South Carolina Gamecock news and commentary from a variety of sources.  Broadstreet has also developed Affiliate relationships with several other sites that provide products and services to Gamecock.com visitors, providing an income stream for Gamecock.com's ownership team.

Broadstreet chose Drupal as the ideal platform for developing an online community.  Drupal is an open-source Content Management System (CMS) that enables any qualified member to produce content.   Besides a very robust core system, Drupal also has over 2,000 user-contributed modules that enhance the functionality of the system.

Tyler Brothers for Carhartt Clothing

Tyler Brothers was founded in 1906 in the town of Wagener, SC. In 2007 Broadstreet developed their website to sell clothing and boots to existing customers and to expand the reach of Tyler Brothers to new customers. In addition to creating a website, Broadstreet established Tyler Brothers on both Twitter and Facebook as a fun way to interact with their customers and offer special promotions, while also immersing Tyler Brothers into the world of social media.

Spatzbooks.com

In late 2007, Sherry Fair was at her wits end. She had developed a Web site to help promote her children's books about Spatz, a fun-loving Sheltie who loves to who likes to get dirty, play hide-and-seek, fetch balls, catch Frisbees, and even blow bubbles underwater. After two years on the Internet, the site's eCommerce functions never did work properly. And then one day the site went dark and Spatzbooks.com domain appeared to be up for sale.

The Web developer who created the site and host provider would not answer phone calls. Broadstreet Consulting was able to work with Sherry to get her domain back in her control and rebuild the Web site from the semi-functional pages we eventually retrieved from the developer.

Broadstreet use Drupal and Ubercart to build a site that the author can update herself, as well as a fully-functional e-commerce engine.

Busbee Truck Parts

In 2006, Doug Busbee was growing his used auto and truck parts business.   His team would purchase a truck, remove the engine and transmission, and list the major parts on his eBay store.  eBay was great for attracting new customers, but he wanted his own online store.

Broadstreet helped  Busbee's find a shopping cart system and Web host, helped review and pick out an appropriate design, and built the foundational Web site.  The site is built so that Busbee employees are able to add new products, upload photos, and adjust pricing and inventory as needed.  Because of the nature of his product, and the variables involved in shipping, Doug has chosen not to complete transactions over the Internet but prefers to complete sales over the phone.

You can see Busbee's online store at www.busbeetruckparts.com.
