eCommerce Sites

Broadstreet has developed expertise in two very distinct approaches for building eCommerce solutions.  ProStores is an eBay-owned company that provides a sophisticated hosted solution allowing almost limitless customization.   It is a bullet-proof solution and can provide you a very functional, very easy to use eCommerce site in just a few weeks.

Another approach is to use Drupal, an open-source (free) content management system along with Ubercart, an open-source shopping cart solution.  A Drupal/Ubercart solution will allow for much more flexibility, the ability to easily add a blog, a calendar, a discussion board, or numerous other features  to your site.  This type of site will take a little more effort to build and will be a little more costly to maintain.

Basic Web Sites

We have developed a process for building inexpensive basic Web sites that is very repeatable and delivers the most value for a small investment.  Our target customer is a small business or non-profit that needs an attractive, basic Web site with limited functionality.  Our clients don't want to go out and find their own hosting provider, register domains, or select a "Web-in-a-box" service.   They want to choose a template, send us details on what they want on their site, and have a Web Site up and running in a week or two maximum.  Along the way, they might also want some advice on what works best on the Web, and they might want to invest in promoting their site via Google and other search engines.

Things We Believe

We believe in the power of the Internet to build and enhance human relationships.

We believe that computers should serve humans and not the other way around.

We believe that online communities and social networks enhance the human experience.

We believe the future of the Web lies in small, focused communities rather than large, generic ones.

We believe the Internet has leveled the playing field, allowing smart small businesses to compete globally.

We are against reinventing the wheel.  Our value lies in finding the right wheel for your needs.
